About This Message
In the modern West, we often confuse agreeing with Jesus with actually acting like citizens of heaven. This exhausting gap between what we intellectually believe and how we behave under pressure creates a crippling spiritual cognitive dissonance.
In Week 4 of our Philippians series, we look at Philippians 1:27-30 and what it truly means to conduct ourselves as citizens (politeuesthe) of a different Kingdom. From the training of ancient Roman war dogs to the battlegrounds of our own minds, we explore how the Holy Spirit trains us to override our natural instinct to panic (pturomenoi) when the culture pushes back. When the noise gets deafening, we don't stampede—we lock shields, and we look to our King.
