About This Message
Have you ever had a massive job in front of you—all the right heavy machinery, the right timeline, and the passion to get it done—only to discover the battery is completely dead?
Many of us experience this exact same frustration in our Christian walk. We know we are called to live differently, to love each other, and to put our faith on display, but we try to do it relying on the finite battery of our own willpower. By Tuesday afternoon, we are spiritually exhausted, running on empty, and the work isn't getting done.
In today’s message from Philippians 2:14-18, we confront one of the most powerful paradoxes in the New Testament. The Apostle Paul commands us to sweat, strive, and "work out our salvation"—but in the very next breath, reveals that God is the generator supplying both the desire and the voltage to do it.
We are not called to work for our salvation; we are called to excavate it.
